Funny Faces

For my maternal grandmother's 80th birthday, we (all of her descendents) wrote down our favorite memory of her [1], which was then bound into a book and given to her. At the same time, we also downloaded the PrankMirror app on our iPads and took funny/bizarre pictures of ourselves (which she then had to identify). Some of ours were too hilarious not to share with a broader audience. Let me know which ones are your favorites!

This first batch are actually distorted photos I took using the iPad app Photobooth (which was either native or was pre-installed by my mother-in-law before she gave it to Leann two Christmases ago). But from here on out the pictures were taken with PrankMirror.

These are all the pictures I took of Lincoln. The one we submitted for my grandma to identify was row 4, picture 1 (though row 3, picture 1 is pretty good, too).

These are all the pictures I took of Lilli. The one we submitted for my grandma to identify was row 2, picture 1. Row 2, picture 2 makes her look like something out of a Miyazaki cartoon.

These are the pictures Leann took of herself. The one we submitted for my grandma to identify was row 1, picture 1 (which makes her look kind of like an ostrich). In row 4, picture 1 she was trying for a llama look.

And these are all the pictures I took of myself. The one we submitted for my grandma to identify was row 2, picture 3 (Leann says it makes me look cuddly). For some reason row 1, picture 1 and row 8, picture 2 remind me of my brother Nathan. And for some reason row 1, picture 3 and row 6, picture 3 both remind me of my Uncle Derek. Row 3, picture 1 is my homage to Worms.[2] Row 4, picture 1 makes me look a bit…effeminate. Row 5, picture 3 is how Leann thinks I think of myself. Row 8, picture 3 is what happens when you teleport with a fly.[3] Row 9, picture 1: Miss Gorightry! [4] I'm sticking my tongue out in row 10, picture 3 through row 12, picture 1 for my sister Ashley's sake. Row 12, picture 2 is too scary to talk about.

Of course, I don't need an iPad ap to twist my face beyond recognition…[5]

  1. In all fairness you guys should have posted a picture of what you really look like. Poor grandma. she must have been slightly horrified before she thought these were funny.
