Emo Pants

It seems that every generation has to have a uniquely awful style of pants to wear. We've seen bell-bottoms in the 1960s and 1970s, acid-wash jeans in the 1980s, and baggy jeans in the 1990s. Now we're in the age of 'emo pants'. These unfortunate pants are extremely tight on the legs, yet saggy in the butt.

Is there really anyone out there who objectively thinks that emo pants are fashionable? Actually, yes.

But do you really want to be friends with any of them?

  1. This is one style that I definitely don't get. It's not flattering to ANYone!

  2. I can't say that I could recognize EMO pants from anything other than Bellbottoms. Still, I imagine the cut is unflattering.

  3. Jonathan, I think you would. Surely you've seen teenagers who look like their legs are so skinny that their body might snap them. They are wearing skinny jeans, or as Matt calls them, EMO pants. That is, unless they are something different than skinny jeans, and in that case I don't know either.

  4. Yeah, they're skinny jeans. But with a saggy butt.
